Our Team

  • Dr. Marie-Clauide Gervais

    Dr. Marie-Claude Gervais, CMRS, FRSA

Marie-Claude is a leading authority in addressing inequalities in the UK.

A Quebecoise raised by a tough single mum who taught her good values, she came to London in 1991 to do a PhD in Social Psychology at LSE. She was driven to understand the role of groups and organisations in shaping how people think, feel and behave.

Marie-Claude went on to become a Lecturer at LSE, where she created two Masters Programmes and supervised some 40 MSc theses. Her work on the health of the Chinese community in England sparked a lifelong commitment to understanding minority voices. It taught her that statistics - where they exist at all - never do justice to the complex experiences of minority communities.

Marie-Claude left LSE to set up a research and consultancy agency that would fill this evidence and insight gap. She never looked back. Twenty years on, all her professional life has been dedicated to helping organisations address inequalities and promote inclusion by listening to seldom-heard voices.

Her experience spans brands, government and charities. She brings this rare cross-sector experience to enrich her clients’ understanding and create better solutions.

The impact of Marie-Claude’s work has been recognised by a dozen awards. In 2022, she was made a Research Hero for services to inclusion and was elected to the Market Research Society Main Board.
